Here I'm going to present a number of interesting Hi-Fi projects, ribbon speakers in particular. I have amused myself over a number of years with the construction of a few models. Some on my own but also together with a friend of mine (hello Leif).
Apart from a pair of JBL subwoofers of gigantic proportions it has mainly been ribbons tweeters and magnetostatic woofers. That principle appeals to my taste in sound character, the "airy" and "open" mids in particular. I have also been involved in a few other fun speaker projects. More about that later.
At "Projects" you will find a number of Hi-Fi related speaker and turntable projects. There will be ribbon tweeters with ceramic magnets but also the costlier and more efficient neodymium version. Both short and long ones. Apart from that there will be magnetostatic woofers, principles and a few versions.
As a complement to the speakers you will need a source and that brings me to the next interest of mine. Magnetic (of course) bearing turntables. At least two solutions on that as well.
